Problem

Nowadays there are a few websites about the tourism experience in Guatemala, these count with helpful information and resources for the potential visitor. But some are outdated or lack user experience design. That affects directly the tourism market of the country.

Solution

It is planned to analyze tourism websites, with other platforms that are part of a tourism sector similar to Guatemala's. In this way, we can be identify the deficiencies and useful resources of each proposal, and create a new one with all the good and effective qualities to get positive results and convert the potential tourist to have interest in visit the country.

Buyer Persona for Hello Guatemala Website

Profession: Doctor and salesman

“We are calm, cheerful and adventurers”

Costumer persona was created based on interviews with a group of people that travel with frequency and have been in different situations while booking and looking for what to visit at the new destination.

They have been married for 6 years and feel that their relationship is consolidated. Sometimes they seek adventure, and sometimes relax, it depends on how they feel and what they feel like.

Insights

– Recommendations from friends and reviews are a must to make a decision.

– In new destinations, the main thing is to look for the must to see destinations of the country/place.

Visual Design

The visual identity was created from scratch with the design of a logotype to represent Guatemala’s touristic destinations. The goal was to create a fresh and organic image through the mix of shapes and colors representing the country and its attributes.
